Greenville non-profit gets new executive director - The Business Blog

PRESS RELEASE: Direct from A Child's Haven

After an extensive search, A Child Haven?s Board of Directors announced today the appointment of Debbie Roche as its new Executive Director. Roche will oversee the operations of the organization, manage a staff of 48 and continue the mission for transforming families and their young children?s lives who have experienced developmental delays or behavioral challenges.

?Debbie knows how to manage growing agencies, and has demonstrated a great balance between prudent business practices and high quality service delivery,? says Landra Jennings, Board Chair. ?The board is thrilled to have an executive of her caliber leading A Child?s Haven into the future.?

Roche has 14 years experience managing operations in non-profit organizations. Most recently she was Executive Director for the Community Free Clinic in Decatur, AL where she spearheaded the start-up of the clinic and supervised a team of 200-plus physicians, nurses, pharmacists and health professionals. Her other experience includes serving as Program Director of the Alzheimer?s Association in Albany, GA and as the Activities Director for Magnolia Manor Assisted Living in Americus GA.

She earned an MBA in social administration and a BS in psychology from Georgia Southwestern State University.

Based in Greenville SC and founded in 1992, A Child?s Haven is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of families and their young children who have experienced developmental delays or behavioral challenges. Many are victims of poverty, child abuse or domestic violence.
