SANATOGA PA ? What is reported to be bipartisan legislation that would help Pennsylvania veterans earn college degrees is expected to be discussed this afternoon (Friday, Feb. 2, 2013) by state Rep. Mark Painter, who represents Lower Pottsgrove, Pottstown, Limerick and Royersford in the 146th House District, during a press conference in Pottstown.
The proposal being promoted by Painter would establish a ?Combat To College? program at Pennsylvania-operated or -funded educational institutions, including state-related universities and community colleges. He said it would create a ?veteran-friendly educational environment? for degree assistance, according to a press release issued from his Sanatoga office.
The conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Room 105 of North Hall at the Pottstown campus of Montgomery County Community College, at the corner of High and Manatawny streets.
